From a SUP, Menorca's coastline reveals itself in a way that's simply not possible from the beach. You can paddle into sea caves, glide between coves that are only accessible by water, and see the turquoise clarity of the water from directly above. The south coast is ideal - sheltered, calm and genuinely spectacular.

Es Grau Lagoon
Protected natural park. Perfectly flat water, shallow and clear. Ideal for beginners and a surreal paddling environment. Flamingos in the lagoon behind.

Cala Galdana
Sheltered south-coast bay. Paddle out of the bay and explore the rocky coast in each direction. Clear water - you can see the bottom at 4m.

Wild Menorca charges €30 per day for a complete inflatable SUP hire - board, paddle, leash, pump and carry bag. Three-day hire is €75, five-day is €95 and seven-day is €110. All prices IVA-inclusive. A 7-day hire works out at €15.70/day - excellent value for a full paddleboard setup.
Every SUP hire includes a 10'6 all-round inflatable paddleboard (rated to 130kg), an adjustable 3-piece fibreglass paddle, a coiled 7ft ankle leash, a high-pressure hand pump with gauge, a board carry bag, and our laminated Menorca SUP spot guide covering 8 locations with launch points, difficulty ratings and wind notes.
The easiest option is our 24/7 self-service lockers at Space Station Menorca, Sant Lluís - 10 minutes from MAH, open any time. Collect your board bag from the locker, then fill your cooler at the supermarket right next door - drinks, snacks, sunscreen - everything for a day on the water. Code sent instantly with your booking confirmation. We also pre-load into your rental car at MAH (free) or deliver to your hotel or villa.
Our self-service lockers are at Space Station Menorca in Sant Lluís - on the industrial estate right next to a large supermarket, 10 minutes from Menorca Airport. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Collect your board bag, fill your cooler next door with cold drinks and snacks for the paddle, and you're on your way. Returns work the same - drop the bag back at any hour, no staff, no faff.
No experience needed. Our 10'6 all-round board is wide and stable - most first-timers are standing comfortably within a few minutes. Menorca's sheltered south-coast coves, particularly Es Grau lagoon and Cala Galdana, have calm flat water ideal for beginners. Every hire includes a QR link to our beginner technique guide. Wear the ankle leash and start in calm, shallow water.
Menorca's south and east coasts are well-sheltered and excellent for SUP. The north coast is more exposed to the Tramontana wind - take care there in windy conditions. Always wear the ankle leash. Check the wind forecast before heading out (Windguru or Windfinder for local Menorca conditions). From May to October, calm mornings are the norm on the south coast.
Es Grau lagoon (protected natural park, flat and calm - best for beginners), Cala Galdana (sheltered south bay with clear water), the Cala Macarella to Macarelleta crossing (only accessible by SUP or boat), Mahón estuary (sheltered historic harbour paddle), Son Bou (long beach with dramatic cliffs to explore) and Cala en Turqueta (pristine clear water, sea caves). With the included dual-action hand pump, inflation to 15 PSI takes approximately 10 minutes. It gets harder to push in the final 2 - 3 PSI - that's normal and means the board is reaching full rigidity. Worth it: a properly inflated board performs significantly better than a under-inflated one.
Yes - our Adventure Bundle is a SUP plus adult snorkel kit for €45/day (versus €55 if booked separately). Paddle to a cove, anchor the board in shallow water, snorkel the rocks - then paddle back. It's the best way to explore Menorca's coastline. Book as a bundle in our Booqable store.
We hold a €100 deposit on card at checkout, or you can add our €10 damage waiver which covers accidental punctures and minor damage. Every board is inspected at collection and any existing marks recorded before your hire begins. In the very unlikely event of a puncture, our repair kit (included in the bag) can fix most small punctures in 10 minutes.
Children can ride on the front of the board with an adult paddling - this is a popular and very enjoyable way to explore with young kids. Children paddling independently should be at least 12 - 13 and comfortable in open water. The board is wide enough to be stable but a young child paddling solo needs to be confident in the water and always wear the leash. We recommend calm, shallow spots like Es Grau for any SUP with children.
